Each year AEF raises funds to help all of our schools in the district.

Fundraising is done year around by the many volunteers who assist the Foundation in meeting their goals of enriching the lives of students in the Alhambra Unified School District.

      

During the 2006-07 school year, the Foundation provided the District with over $300,000 in financial grants, equipment, and projects.  Of this amount, $100,000 was earmarked to help replace playground equipment, removed during the recent construction activities at each of the District’s elementary school sites.  In addition, funds were provided for: the Visual and Performing Arts; high school band uniforms and instruments; band camp; Authors Festival; and other worthwhile projects.

Our fundraising for 2008 will kick off with our Make Money in March campaign.  Our annual Service to Education Awards dinner will be held on April 12, 2008, at Almansor Court.  The last fundraising activity for the year will be the Taste of Alhambra, to be held this year on June 1, 2008.
