Every other year, AEF sponsors an Authors Festival at each of our thirteen elementary schools.  The last Festival was held in February of 2007.

Over 75 authors, illustrators, and storytellers participated, spending the day sharing with students their love of reading, writing, illustrating and publishing.  This event has attracted authors from all over California and several other states.

Author’s books are purchased by AEF prior to the festival, so students can preview the books and be ready to question authors on their writings.

The next Festival will be held in February of 2009.  Authors, illustrators, and storytellers, interested in participating in our next Festival, are asked to send us your resume.  Invitations to the Festival will be mailed in the fall of 2008.

This Festival was the fourth festival sponsored by AEF.
