The Alhambra Unified District Band has been invited to participate in the 120th Rose parade, themed Hats Off To Entertainment. The parade will take place on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at 8:00 a.m.

Band members from all three high schools will be performing for this very exciting event.  The last time an Alhambra School District Band was in the Rose Parade was back in 1963.

AEF has contributed over $100,000 to prepare and equip the Band to participate in this prestigious event.  AEF continues to raise funds for uniforms, instruments, band camps and coaches for this on-going project.  AEF is looking for volunteers interested in assisting the band project.  Donors and volunteers are asked to contact the AEF office at 626-308-1206 or by e-mailing aef2009@gmail.com. Councilman Mitchell Ing from Monterey Park will be heading up all the fundraising efforts this year for the AUSD Band.

A very BIG thank you goes to Alhambra Auto Kraft for donating the cost of having the two AUSD trucks graphics applied to ackowledge the band acceptance in the 2009 Rose parade.  FSC International in San Gabriel did the graphic design and application.
