The Alhambra Unified District Band participated in the 120th Rose parade.Hats Off To Entertainment was the theme. The parade took place on January 1, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. On December 30, 2008 at Pasadena City College, the band also participated in Bandfest with five other bands who were also marching in the parade.

Band members from all three high schools performed in this very exciting event. The last time an Alhambra School District Band was in the Rose Parade was in 1963.

AEF has contributed over $100,000 to prepare the band for this prestigious event, and continues to raise funds for uniforms, instruments, band camps and coaches for this on-going project. The All District Band is looking for volunteers interested in continuing the band project. A very BIG thank you to Alhambra Auto Kraft for donating the cost of having graphics applied to two AUSD trucks to acknowledge the band acceptance in the 2009 Rose parade.  FSC International in San Gabriel created the graphic design and application.
